Amzar Azhar started his carrier as a consultant with Institute for Sustainable Energy in Connecticut, United States. After 1 year being a consultant he’s been offered a position in J.P Morgan Chase Bank in Manhattan, New York as Debt Capital Market officer. After 3 and half year living and working in the United State, he decided to come back to his hometown Kuala Lumpur to be close to his family and had worked in a tin mining company as Business Development Manager and junior consultant in Malaysia Chamber of Mines.

He currently hold a position as Executive Director of Exni Heavy Industry Sdn Bhd, a sister company to Exni Railway from Jaen, Spain that manufacturer and specialize in machinery maintenance for trains. He is also a strategic advisor to Green Growth Asia Foundation, a non-profit organisation that provides a platform for leadership, thought and action in responding to sustainability challenges in Asia region, that one of the pillar is to promote a new growth strategy that strikes a balance between economic development, social inclusivity and environmental sustainability.

He personally has a deep interest in housing development and currently running his own small outfit called Lembayung Land Sdn Bhd in developing residential and managing assets. He sit as Managing Director of the company.

In 2016, he lead a corporate strategy & compliance department in a public listed company Vertice Berhad. During his tenure, he structured a corporate exercise within the group involving share subscription, diversification of the principal activities of the company within the group, proposed the establishment of a share issuance scheme and private placement representing up to thirty percent of the total number of issued shares of the company equivalent to USD 11 million.

Mr Amzar graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, concentrating in Business, in 2009 at Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU), Connecticut, United State of America.
